Into The Woods – festive gingerbread ale

I found this at the back of my beer shelf. My stock is running low during lockdown!

A bit weird drinking Christmas beers in Spring but this was a pleasant evening beer.

Brewed by Fourepure in London. I’ve been to their brewery bar and it’s fantastic on a sunny day. They let you bug a box of 20 cans and drink them there. Great if you’ve got a group of mates and the sun’s out.

Into The Woods was a red beer full of malt and spice. Festive beers always have a load of other Christmas pudding flavours added in for good measure and this has (according to the can)…

… dried fruit, toffee, caramel… Orange, grapefruit, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, coriander and black pepper!

Apparently when they brew Into The Woods the brewery smells like gingerbread for the whole day. I will have to revisit them in December!
